Inauguration of Direct Tehran, Cologne Flight

“It is an honor to provide a direct link for the Iranian and German businessmen” said director of Cologne airport adding that we are so proud to connect the eastern and western civilizations together. There are about 30,000 Iranian businessmen in Cologne at present who can now benefit from this direct air link.

He went on further to say that there are 45 permanent flights from this airport to 980 destinations around the world and we might soon expect a Boeing 747 to replace the current Airbus should demand for the direct flight increase.

The Managing Director of Iran Air, Keshavarzian, and the Iranian Ambassador’s deputy, Mollaei, stressed upon Iran’s tourist attractions as a means to promote dialogue and ties between the two nations. They added that the huge presence of Iranians here increased the need to establish the direct flight between Tehran and  Cologne.
